Fostering a homeless animal is one of the most rewarding aspects of animal rescue work and foster parents are the backbone of our organization. Through our partnership with the various vets, TPK pays for 100% of all fosters veterinary care, markets your foster, and screens potential adopters.

Interested in volunteering with The Philly Kitty? We are always looking for volunteers to help with various duties such as events, fundraising, outreach, and assisting at our PetValu adoption location. Not sure if you have enough time to volunteer? No worries! We have plenty of tasks to help with and you can volunteer as little as a few times a month. Our volunteers are the backbone of our rescue and we couldn't operate without you! PetValu Volunteer Information:
The Philly Kitty has an adoption site at PetValu Hatfield. Adoptable cats & kittens are there 7 days a week and volunteers visit the store once a day to check on cats, clean litter boxes, and tidy up the cages. Visits take 15 minutes or less and you can elect to visit the store once a week or more depending on your availability. Your visit can be any time the store is open & arranged around your schedule. We are thrilled to have this adoption site and staffing is key! PetValu is open Monday through Saturday from 9am to 9pm, and Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
